Our Services

Residential Electrical Services

Repair, upgrade, and installation work for homes in Washington County and the surrounding area. Every job handled by a licensed electrician.

Lighting Installation

Recessed cans, chandeliers, pendant lights, under-cabinet LEDs, ceiling fans, and exterior fixtures. We handle the wiring, mounting, and switch setup, including dimmer and smart switch integration.

Electrical Panel Upgrades

100A to 200A service upgrades, panel replacements for Federal Pacific, Zinsco, and fuse-style panels, breaker swaps, and whole-home surge protector installation. If your panel is maxed out or outdated, we replace it with a modern load center sized for your home's actual demand.

Whole-Home Rewiring

Replacement of knob-and-tube, aluminum, and cloth-insulated wiring in older homes. We pull new copper conductors through existing walls and bring your home's wiring up to current NEC standards, including AFCI and GFCI protection where required by code.

Circuit Installation

Dedicated 20-amp circuits for kitchen appliances, 240V lines for dryers, ranges, and EV chargers, sub-panel feeds to detached garages and workshops, and hot tub/pool disconnect circuits. If your home needs more capacity, we run new circuits from the panel to wherever they're needed.

Generator Installation

Standby generator sizing, concrete pad setting, transfer switch wiring, and connection to your existing panel. We install Generac and other major brands. When the grid goes down, your generator starts automatically and keeps your refrigerator, furnace, sump pump, and lights running.

Electrical Safety Inspections

We inspect panels, wiring, grounding, outlets, and smoke/CO detectors for code compliance and safety hazards. Common on pre-purchase home inspections, insurance requirements, and older homes that haven't been evaluated in years. We document findings and quote any recommended repairs.

Common Electrical Problems

Signs Your Home Needs an Electrician

Flickering or Dimming Lights

Lights that dim when you turn on an appliance usually mean the circuit is overloaded or there's a loose connection at the panel. If it's happening across multiple rooms, the issue is likely at the service entrance. We trace the fault back to the source and fix it, not just change a bulb.

Breaker That Keeps Tripping

A breaker trips once, that's normal. Trips repeatedly on the same circuit, something is wrong. Either the circuit is carrying more load than it's rated for, there's a short in the wiring, or the breaker itself has failed. We test the circuit, find the fault, and either redistribute the load or replace the failing component.

Dead Outlets

A dead outlet is usually caused by a tripped GFCI somewhere upstream, a loose wire nut in the box, or a failed receptacle. If multiple outlets on the same circuit die at once, the problem is typically at the first device in the run. We isolate it and get your outlets working again.

Outdated Panel (Federal Pacific, Zinsco, Fuse Box)

If your home still runs on a Federal Pacific Stab-Lok, Zinsco, or old fuse panel, it's a known fire risk. These panels don't trip reliably under fault conditions. We remove the old panel and install a modern breaker panel rated for your home's current electrical load.

No Dedicated Circuits for Major Appliances

Older homes often run refrigerators, microwaves, and window AC units on shared 15-amp circuits that weren't built for that kind of draw. If your breaker trips every time you run the microwave, you need a dedicated 20-amp circuit pulled from the panel. We add them without tearing up your walls.

Warm Outlets or Buzzing Switches

An outlet that's warm to the touch or a switch that buzzes when you flip it, that's a loose connection, an undersized conductor, or a device that's starting to arc internally. These cause house fires. We replace the device, inspect the wiring behind it, and make sure the connection is tight.

Why Choose Us

What to Expect When You Call Us

We treat your house like it’s ours. That means showing up when we say we will, putting down drop cloths before cutting into anything, and cleaning up wire scraps and drywall dust before we leave. You’ll get a price before we start work, not a surprise invoice after.

Never Lose Power Again

Indiana storms knock out power sometimes for days. A standby generator wired to your panel through an automatic transfer switch keeps your refrigerator, furnace, sump pump, and lights running until the grid comes back. We size the unit to your home’s critical loads, set it on a concrete pad, and handle all the electrical connections. Call us to discuss sizing and placement for your property.
